Here at Fertility Support we have a holistic approach to helping our couples with both natural and assisted conception. Many factors are important with a holistic approach – being informed, a good sense of well being, keeping active, being relaxed and also understanding nutrition. We are now working with Melanie Brown to provide advice on nutrition to our clients.
Melanie Brown Bsc (Hons), mCNHC, mCthA, mBANT
After studying for a degree in Nutritional Therapy, Mel was the senior nutritionist at a prestigious fertility and pregnancy clinic, designing the nutrition programme and seeing thousands of clients over the ten years she was there. In 2011 she decided to go out on her own specialising in pre-conception, IVF and pregnancy nutrition.
Mel has a particular interest in male fertility, PCOS and endometriosis and regularly works with experts in the field. Mel’s writing appears regularly in the Sunday Telegraph Stella Magazine as she is the nutritionist for the Health Q&A page and she is currently mid-study for a Master’s degree in Nutritional Medicine at the University of Surrey which gives her the most up to date evidence-based information that is so important for her clients.
Mel is not a hard core kill joy and one of her most highly regarded skills is her ability to make clients feel thoroughly relaxed and to really enjoy their consultations. She endeavours to give ideas that fit in with your life, with recipes and tips that actually help you to leave the consultations feeling quite excited, as well as fully informed of the latest, most up to date nutritional advice for fertility.
We are delighted to have Melaine Brown available to see couples that we are working with – for more information please contact us.
